This playalong study Features Bob Mintzer of the Yellow Jackets and a great rhythm section. It may be used a number of ways. First you my just listen to the CD, Then you may want to try and sight read the etudes. Although they are called etudes they are more like songs in my opininon . Now lets do some work on Improvising. At the beginning of each etude are study notes showing what scales to use and other thoughts on the song. Now take these bits of knowledge and go to the end of the CD and you will find all the tunes recorded without the lead lines. This is where you may play the written lead lines with the rhythm section or just improvise. Great listening/study material.
